After months of following the Ponies the time finally came to make my move!
Neth mysteriously disappeared after our battle with the water troll, leaving me little optimism for the remainder. The cowardly halfling, the reckless KariBarn, and that goblin. If I had to sit through one more story about farfus looking for gossamer turds I think I’d have attacked them myself.
After some brief exploring, and the Ponies killed some sort of giant scorpion made of skulls. (note to have that thrown out) and discovered the mechanism for restoring power to the dam. Understanding the mechanisms naturally, I stalled for time until Karli bumbled into the de-leveler. With him weakened, Neth out of the picture, and the others injured it was the perfect time to strike. The
Skull Blackwood Dam Eyrie will make a wonderful lair. A nice weak town downriver, the only military force nearby freshly neutered, and the Ponies about to drive their avalanche through the closest rivals in the area, those Hook Mountain Ogres.
Couldn’t ask for a better spot, and the defenses are nice too. Nice fly in – fly out hole on one side, water access, only 2 walk up entrances easily closed up by stone. Just need to get some nice kobolds in here to make the place a home. That’s task number one.
The dam front may be still a bit skull-ful though, but some stone shaping will help with that. I’m thinking a dragon motif.
