So, Meyonda and Gruthor had apparently decided to make it difficult on themselves. There was some tricksy illusions from our side and nasty offensive magic from Meyonda. It was a tough fight but we cornered them and beat them both to my favorite kind of pulp, bloody. Meyonda had a strange weapon device with an orange crystal thingy in it. Beyond my understanding, but my chums think it’ll will serve us. She also had a chain shirt. Gruthor was not only dumb, but barren of loot.
After the corpse robbing we finally broke into room beyond and Vayu and I started handily pulling apart a giant dead machine creature there. It’s the only way to be sure it doesn’t wake up. I took it’s brains, this little silver walnut thing. Meanwhile the nerdier of my chums were fiddling with the giant glowing purple machine in there. And hurting themselves with the strange magic coming out of it. They finally managed to do something that made it work and we moved on. The caves are humming again.
Beyond the first conveyor belt room was another room with conveyor belt and corpses. Dead orc things. They apparently peeved off the machine man in here, but like the rest, it was sleeping. I dug around inside and took it’s brains too. I think I’ll make a necklace. It had a device that was like a mace but electrical. Jacques tinkered with it until it came to life and tested it on the dead machine man. Not sure what use it has, but the others seem to think it’s useful.
We went back to the room with the big metal chests and Jacques opened the one that I couldn’t earlier. Lots of loot in in there.
A satisfying day of carnage and plunder. Came out of these metal caves with a sweet new gauntlet. It’s shiny and looks painful. We headed back to Torch and were hailed as heroes. Awesome, that means booze and whoring, my two favorite things next to smashing!
After a nights rest I’m feeling a little something off. A kind of mystic itch, I think. In the back of my mind I’ve half expected it. I believe that the bloodrage is calling to something alien and bizarre within me. There’s a pain in my flesh, like something trying to claw its way out. The question is, will I be able to bend it to my will?
