I’m all of a sudden, here? Where am I? Well, that will have to wait until later, because …
Zombies! Zombie cyborgs!
Jacques is down. Not only has he been hit hard, but he seems to be “diseased” – but the disease reminds me of Khonnir – what was the word? Na-no-tek? Jacques’ wound it being “repaired” like what happened to Khonnir – but this seems nefarious, so I quell this infection. Aakpesh and I also become “infected” in short order. I get a closer look, and those responsible look like with metallic fire ants crawling in the wound.
After battle, I’m able to stave off the effects of fire ants for a day (on my next check I get a +4). Aakpesh the Impatient simply grabs a torch and burns them away.
On the undead we find a dagger (magical, +2) that glows around undead. We couldn’t see it glowing earlier as it was lodged inside one of the unfortunate beings. Jacques simply tosses the dagger away, so I collect it.
We continue on our way go to the Steel Hawks “palace” and are greeted by 6 orcs. They refuse us access to their leader (Birdfoot) without us first discarding our weapons. While I am relatively ok with this (although I do think it unwise), Jacques decides to vomit a spider swarm on one of the orcs. Clawing at its face, it dies in a writhing agony as it is consumed by the swarm, dying with an unimaginable choking noise.
In mere moments we dispatch four of the remaining five (they do not die good deaths), and one we let go, but not before obtaining the door keys from him.
