The Halcion star port seems slow. Not a lot of traffic coming or going. We immediately start to assess the broken hangar door on the Rapture in slip 93. Tor and I start to dismantle the housing to the damaged, upper door. I can tell that it’s been torqued pretty badly from the inside of the ship. There is a forklift in the slip that we can use to help lower the door once we get it free of the housing. We’re not sure what we are going to use to straighten the bent door so Kavita volunteers to go find a mechanic.
While trying to loose a particularly stubborn bolt, I slip and lose balance. I fall along with a dozen or so parts from the hangar doors housing. By roots all powerful design, I manage to fall clear of the door, and avoid damaging myself.
The starports mechanic shows up with Kavita and Silas. He takes a look at our problem and determines that it would take about 6 or more hours to repair. I try to aid the mechanic and his crew, but something is not quite right with me this day. I take 10 minutes to rest my circuits.
Silas, over coms, indicates that there is someone in the bar looking for Tor. He also let’s us know that the city is on lockdown. No one in or out. Tor searches city records for alternate routes of movement into and out of the city. In doing so, he stumbled into the city control center. Apparently, EVERYTHING has been sealed shut with no way to unseal it.
Kavita and I check out the ki’tik in the cryotube. She determines that it is a leader of some sort. We decide to open the cryotube. The ki’tik wakes, and angrily asks if we’ve arrived to the destination. The destination is Mars in the Sol system. We explain our location, and how we came to rescue him from the derelict Rapture. Ki’kist’ac, as he is known, becomes quite agitated. He appears to take a stance of aggression, but captain Silas manages to calm him down. We agree to bring him to Mars if he helps us get a new bypass core for our ship’s hyperdrive.
Silas and Kavita go to hangar 19, where we think the people who are looking for Tor are. There is a ship in the hangar, but appears to be uninhabited. Tor tries a remote hack in order to grant Silas and Kavita access to hangar 19…
