root blesses us with a vessel

Posted on December 5, 2016 in Stargazer Transit, Inc. by Stinson

Tor finds schematics of the vessel, and relays the info to the away team. Silas and Kitkatt head to the opened door to the aft of the ship. On their way to the door, they pass the engineering room and find a corpse on the floor. They examine the body, and find a cypher (a solvent of some kind). The dead crew member is named Quin Jett according to his ID badge. They continue on through the corridor onto the operations room. Silas finds a control panel and manages to light up the internal systems with the ID badge he found.

Now that the internals of the ship had been borne again, we in the ship decide to get a closer look at the opened hatch at the rear of the ship. I manage to slide our rental ship right up to the opened hatch. I bring the hatch up on the vid monitors and ask Kavita to assess the obvious damage to the door and hull.

Silas and Kitkatt make their way to the crew quarters and search the bunks. In one of the bunks they find a rental agreement for a compact model star ship. Interestingly, the agreement is for the same woman we encountered in the bar, Leia Borganna.  There was another bunk previously occupied by the expired Quin Jett and another unnamed crew member. There were 50 credits in their belongings that we added to our crew’s donation plate, as well as the title to the Red-shift Rapture.

Tor and Kavita spacewalk to the opened hatch. They manage to land inside of the hold safely. Tor goes to work trying to close the hatch via system commands. Kavita tries to manually override the stuck door, but there is so much damage that she is unable to close the hatch completely.

The crew decides to leave the door as it is for now. Tor and Kavita enter the Rapture.

Once inside they decide to inspect the life support tube found in one of the cargo bays. They discover that the creature inside is a ki’tik. It is barely alive, but it’s alive. It’s in bio-hibernation.

Tor notices that there is a ship on an intercept course with us. We decide to set the rental car’s autopilot back to Finally, but on a slightly altered course from the Rapture. We wait to see if they take the bait. They do, and we set an opposite course to Finally. We decide that we should probably land Halcion. It’s a domed city on Finally. Hopefully we can set a course for the rental, and hope that it hasn’t been damaged in order to avoid having to pay the deposit.
